Real Talk: Suicide Prevention Through Lethal Means Safety is a free online video mini-course that introduces learners to Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM), an evidence-informed approach to increasing safety during times of suicide risk.

Through four practical modules, learners will explore the core principles of lethal means safety, how to start a calm, compassionate conversation, and how to work collaboratively to identify temporary strategies that create time and distance from lethal means during a crisis.

Designed for healthcare professionals, first responders, educators, behavioral health providers, and community members, this course offers a clear introduction to practical skills that can help increase safety, encourage meaningful conversations, and support someone when it matters most.
